Wii Fit Anomalies! (Easter Eggs?)
So I’ve been playing Wii Fit for a while, and I’ve noticed some weird stuff happen. For example, some days I’ll just get the male trainer (I typically like the female trainer) and he’ll say something like “Hey there, I’ll be your trainer for today” but he goes away after one exercise. Also, my normal trainer will just say random stuff sometimes, like she’ll act sleepy and talk about how she didn’t get enough sleep last night. Hey trainer, let’s try to keep it professional, huh? I don’t want to know about your personal life.
Another random thing I noticed was that my playing time would just randomly reset sometimes. I finally figured out what was going on last night. It turns out that Wii Fit just counts the minutes you work out per day. So since I was playing late last night, the time reset. I think it would make more sense to count minutes on a per session basis, but whatever. The whole midnight cutoff thing works too, I guess.
Finally, I noticed that my trainer’s hairstyle changed! It’s in a short ponytail now:
Before it was sort of a short hairstyle. Don’t ask me why I noticed this. Let’s just say it was only about last week that I noticed she didn’t actually move her lips. I’m not usually staring at her lips… Previously I thought it would be cool if you could “dress up” your trainer. I guess that’s kind of a uniquely Japanese thing that culturally people might want to do. I guess it’s cool if the trainer just has a mind of their own as well. I think that the outfit for the female trainer might’ve gotten a bit more conservative. It looks like in the old Wii Fit commercials she’s wearing a shorter top (and showing more tummy) as seen here:
Anyway, I should probably be paying less attention to the actual trainer and more attention to working out. Which is working pretty well for me, actually.

Interesting observations about the trainers but have you found the jogging and Ultimate Balance Test easter eggs yet?
I am not as big a fan of the strength and yoga exercises. If only they had more difficult aerobic exercises!
I’m pretty sure that I’m doing the strength and yoga ones slightly wrong. But hey, who can afford a personal trainer? I can actually do push-ups now though, so I think it’s positive overall. Right, Kabitzin. If only there was a “go outside” button or something… I bet Nintendo just doesn’t want to get sued when someone gets too into the aerobics and has a Myocardial Infarction (been watching too much House).
Could be lupus.
sigh I still can’t find Wii Fit in stores or online I’m ashamed to call myself a Nintendo fanboy! blush with a trainer like that, I can understand your distractions! (although, I’d probably prefer the male one =3) @ Kabitzin: I was really curious when you said you would get Wii Fit, since you have taken Karate before. Wii Fit seems more for us fat gamers, not for “Mr. Kabi-fit-zin” so yea passes Kabitzin “go outside” button… at least you know how to use that button! D: I could only do 8 push ups, and all my friends make fun of me for it
The Wii fit probably won’t have you break out in a major sweat or even breathing really heavy, but you definitely feel like you are exercising. I use it when I am feeling too lazy to really exercise hard and yet I know I should be exercising. The strength and aerobic exercises probably give the best workout, but unless you use the Wii Fit for like hours at a time, you probably won’t be sore the next day.
Well then, I’m glad it does something, not like all these super buff Nintendo haters who say otherwise! (btw, for anyone still trying to find Wii-Fit, including me, I found out from the nintendoworldstore.com that they sell a few Wii-Fits every morning! I might have to visit there!… but New York Drivers… ITS TOO MUCH!!! That itself is a “workout”! D:)
Just a quick note, I got a wii fit two days after I started looking for one, you just have to call around even to stores you didn’t think would carry games
I noticed that as well, that’s why I googled it. this was the ifrst website too. Now, I had the male trainer and he had his hair cut short one day with lil gel spikes and the next day he had long hair that was really ugly. I think they should change their outfits more often. It’s kind of gross wearing the same stuff everyday
